Introduction

'e4' is the incubator code name for the next major version of the Eclipse platform, 4.0. Topics being investigated include declarative UIs (CSS, etc.), scripting (Javascript and others), flexible resource models, plugins implemented in other languages, and DOM driven RESTful architectures.

Project Proposal

A draft project proposal for a new e4 project has been posted as a wiki page. Those who intend on participating in e4 should feel free to edit the proposal. In particular, please add a subsection under Additional Details of Work Areas briefly describing the area you intend to contribute to.
