Presented projects
We met at EclipseCon Europe, Oct. 10, 2017, for the Unconference. It was a great meeting where we could have a presentation on several research projects like:
- APPSTACLE by Robert Hoettger (TU Dortmund)
- CROSSMINER by Boris Baldassari (Castalia Solution)
- RobMoSys by Dennis Stampfer (Ulm University)
- BASYS by Markus Damm (Fraunhofer)
- Papyrus-IC by Francis Bordeleau (Cmind)
- Capella-IC by Benoit Langlois (Thales)
- AMASS by Gaël Blondelle (Eclipse Foundation)
- GEMOC by Philippe Krief (Eclipse Foundation)
Open Discussion
We also collect several thoughts and ideas to follow up:
- Having more academics at EclipseCon
- Organizing Committer Bootcamps for Research projects
- Write a step-by-step document explaining how to bring a Research project at Eclipse
- Eclipse should more promote Google Summer Code
- Create a Chatbot on Eclipse Development Process
- Create a Video showing how to become a committer in Eclipse
- Students can help projects / Eclipse by documenting: Videos, Tutorials, ... (We can commit something else than code)
- Organize workshop/unconference meetings during some major events (Models, EFR (FOSDEM?), ...). Events where academics are going.
Let's try to follow up on these points until the next Research @ Eclipse meeting
