complaints about previous? no

4.5.2 status

  • test pass -- report shows in good state. 99.x% results checked in
    • wow. Kudos to team for follow thru on the test pass.
  • Test project has a few tests that want to rerun
    • unfortunately do not have a build to rerun them on.

Need to resolve build issues

  • folks are working on this now.

Oliver assumes that everyone understands what they need to do for I2 and has plenty of defects to work on.

Note: next test pass starts November 26

Discussing integration

POG --

  • Eugene will post updated message to committers list
    • Oliver will follow up afterwards.

jprobe

later today Oliver has discussion with them.

  • Some years ago there was discussion about coordinating with TPTP.

What would benefits of jprobe being part of TPTP open source.

(1) is TPTP the right place? (2) does anything else do bytecode instructions -- aspectJ but not related to profiling

Yourkit is competitor

Merging two projects for sake of merging them is not going to be easy. Trying to figure out overhead

  • can't commit overall resource yet
  • could be massive work. need overall concept

Do we want to devote some PMC time to it in discussion

mac

Someone says that they will do a few weeks.

  • harm suggests that can look at it.
  • Oliver has concerns about seepage of time. committer time to "assist".
    • no binary (maybe a link to some external build)
    • provisional
    • as-is
  • Eugene asks if we need a dedicated committer to help
    • Johnathan... Johnathan is doing some porting of AC to other platform.
    • Intel team can help on TI side.

Discuss --

  • ~8 hrs over a 1 month period
  • Paul wants to make sure that all correspondance is in open source
  • If we have POG effort (narrow focus, more support)
    • Why are we spreading ourselves thinner with these other platforms
    • Paul notes that community is interested so it is right thing to do
      • If work is done by external contributor with some support by us, this is a win.
    • Good value for eclipse community (bunch of mac users)
    • "Ben" will talk to Johnathan about it

What about longer term support

  • Paul is sure that some folks would contribute to ongoing build/test of mac port

ecliplsecon Team discussed current plans about Eclipescon talk

  • no concept of "track" this year.
  • but there is some category stuff
  • Eugene thinking of doing short talk on POG effort
    • if time allows would like to also do a presentation on long talk on Test project
    • Test project would like to do this.
  • Oliver will be there

-- Eugene will be on parental leave in January
