View Sharing

You can remotely open Eclipse Views with buddies in the Contacts view. First, right-click on the account (e.g. mayworm@ecf.eclipse.org) and select Add Show View Listener:

Your buddy must also choose Add Show View Listener on her side. When both listeners have been added, you may then share Views to/and from buddies.

To remotely open a view, right-click on a buddy in one's Contacts list, and choose Send View:

Select the Eclipse View that you want to send:

A dialog will prompt on buddy's Eclipse:

If the receiver selects "Yes", the view will open:

Note: It is possible for plugin developers to create their own menu additions (like Send URL) for the ECF Contacts view and share other data via the same mechanisms used in this example. See these links:
