XWT will be part of Luna
XWT was an important contribution of Soyatec to provide a Declarative UI for eclipse. This project was started 2008 in the project e4. After the 3 years development, it becomes stable. Since early 2013, we decided to incubate it as a standalone project under eclipse project Techology.
The development team is extended by integrating one of main contributors as committer.
The first reelase is ongoing, we plan to join Eclipse Luna SimRel/Simultaneous Release. The goal of this release is the following:
- Setup the project infrastucture
- Fix some critical bugs
- Publish a first stable release
XWT is already used by Papyrus since early 2010. They have developped a solution to generate the UI of Properties View for all model UML. It demonstrates one of the most important benefits of XWT for MDA solution.
